René otf Stevens MSc Arch/MBA is an architect, management consultant, coach and social entrepreneur. A practising academic with the curiosity of a lifelong learner.
End of 2002 René established ATELIER V real estate, an independent strategic architectural consultancy firm in the space business that concentrates on the energy balancing of new and existing learn/work environments, of which he is the owner and general director.
His passion is to create work and learn environments with an exceptional balance of experience and usefulness that significantly adds value to the users compared with average accommodations that focus mainly on efficiency. An integrated holistic approach to create an ecosystem of Bricks, Bytes and Behaviour that is manageable and in control.
Being an engineer/architect trained to think in systems, structures and aesthetics, his practical MBA education on concrete business and value case studies creates a powerful combination providing a complimentary perspective on the learn/work and the business environments. It serves as a foundation and catalyst for a lateral way of thinking. It offers a new perspective on accommodation from a more whole and unified ecosystem approach.
René is a well-known visionary pioneer and expert in the field of Strategy-oriented and Human-centric learn/work environments with over 35 years of experience across the private, public and voluntary sectors. He completed the studies of Building Engineering, Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration and has been trained in BioGeometry.
He was an architect at FC de Weger International and a senior real estate/workplace consultant at Berenschot Osborne. The commercial real estate agent market leader DTZ Zadelhoff engaged him in 1990 in the establishment of the central departments’ Research and Consultancy, of which he became director in 1993. Stevens was, together with the late Frans F.A. Diekstra BSc, founding father and from 1992-1997 also Director of the Real Estate Norm Netherlands Foundation (REN-norm). From 1997-2001 he was co-founder and general director of the real estate consultancy firm Diephuis Stevens B.V. In 2019 he started as founder/host of The ‘E’ of real estate podcast, (TEORE) an exploration odyssey about real estate and the (real) state of humans. Since 2015 he has been the owner of Meini Hirion Publishing House.

Spatial Alchemist
Spatial alchemy is about rethinking the type of environment we live and work in, the places where we build, the materials that our buildings are built from, the spaces that confine our daily lives, the technologies that we use, and even the people we interact with.
The shape and alignment of a building have a direct effect on physical, chemical and biological processes. Place and space can influence human health and well-being in various ways. Architecture is a Symphony of Form.
A Spatial Alchemist thinks differently and inspires.
