
Business style determines the choice of an office building. “Independent office space, excellent accessibility, from 200 m2, completely finished with ceilings, concrete floor, toilet and parking space on site.” You would expect that many potential users would be pushing to take up residence in this market-based office building. Reality is different. Apart from the question of what a market-based office is, it appears that in times of economic recession the many little distinctive office buildings do not sufficiently meet the wishes of contemporary office organisations.
Developments in the real estate market in recent years prompted Atelier V to start a study ‘Business styles and offices’ into the wishes and requirements of users of office accommodation. This initiative was supported by some prominent investors and developers. No less than 32,000 emails were sent to decision-makers for this study. The research resulted in a report with clear tools for real estate entrepreneurs who want to distinguish themselves from their industry peers.
