René Stevens, general manager and business architect at ATELIER V, will be the moderator of the SPRYG Summer College 2016 ‘Inspiring Workspaces’. The program consists of:
Trends in offices and workplaces
Wouter Oosting is Senior Director Workplace Strategies & Design, CBRE Netherlands. He gives you an overview of current research into global trends in offices and workplaces. In addition, he shares with you his experiences with the new office and work concept that CBRE has set up for its own organisation in Amsterdam.
Workplace as a modern hotel lobby
“In the future, we will no longer have offices, but flexible workplaces in multifunctional buildings with shared services,” says Martijn Roordink, Spaces director. You will hear his experiences as a provider of flexible, creative working environments in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and even in London, USA and Australia.
Let’s give the emperor some (real) clothes

New Ways of Working: New Needs for Design
The New Way of Working started as a change of management style, in which employees are judged based on output instead of presence. The most important consequence of the demand for office space is that many (informal) meeting places have to be created. You will hear a unique vision of the different possibilities of adapting office spaces to changing work needs.
Unique Excursion: New HQ of Inter IKEA Systems
We are one of the first to visit the renovated Inter IKEA Systems head office in Delft (the franchisor of the well-known furniture stores).
Robert Granat, Career and Performance Specialist, and Bernard Gribbin, Interior Design Specialist, will take you on a tour of their new ‘city’, which they call Tulpanen. In this city, you will find a ‘Central Station’, city neighbourhoods and even ‘Swedish stairs’ as a central meeting place. The design and layout have been fully developed by IKEA. They put their city into use last March. Be surprised and inspired!
