
Thinking about office use is in the spotlight and prompted NeVaP (Dutch Property Management Platform) to organise a meeting on innovative office concepts. Most striking was the presentation of the ‘salon office’, developed by Bos en Alkemade Architecten. This saves even more space than with flex offices, but it meets the need of many employees for their own fixed workplace.
Earlier during this meeting, René Stevens of consultancy firm ATELIER V, argued for example, that proper accommodation contributes to achieving organisational goals. Theo van der Voordt, affiliated with TU Delft and the Center for People and Buildings, discussed the pluses and minuses of various office concepts.
